Wellness Expands Horizons
Wellness Expands Horizons Blog Series
There is an underlying assumption in the way wellness is usually discussed - that wellness is something we can pursue - something we can do, something we can achieve.
The idea that wellness is something we pursue misses a fundamental aspect.
At Swan, wellness is NOT an addition - it is not a fad - it is not a reset - it is not a laundry list of "things to work on."
Wellness is the natural extension of health when health is viewed as an appreciating strategic asset.
In this blog series we will be exploring this concept - but thoughtfully and in a practical manner - not with a sense of urgency.
Health is viewed here through a unique perspective:
health is not a cost to manage
health is not a problem to solve
health is not a performance to keep up
But as something that grows exponentially over time when the correct conditions exist.
Over the course of this series we will examine how health really works - what makes it grow; what silently attacks it; and why so many intentional attempts to produce long-lasting health outcomes fail to create those outcomes.
We will also discuss safety, nourishment, movement, measurement and choice - all of which will be framed as components of a cohesive system.
This is not about doing more - it is about seeing more.
When health is perceived in a proper manner, decision-making is simplified; effort is more intelligent; the body is no longer seen as a project - but as a trusted partner.
That perspective opens doors - literally and figuratively - for people both physically and mentally - across a lifetime.
This is an invitation to view health (and by extension wellness) as it has always been - as an asset.
